This year, we are seeing some fantastic destinations with some significant price drops (up to 24 percent lower from 2013). Whether he’s a whiskey-lover, golf enthusiast or an outdoor adventurer, there’s an affordable option for every man.
Boston
Hotel prices in Boston where up over Memorial Day weekend, but travelers heading there for Father’s Day can expect to see major price drops around 25 percent. Take the kids on an exciting tour of Fenway Park, followed by a Red Sox game, or explore the city on a Duckboat tour. You can also head to Faneuil Hall for a lobster roll, street performers and some “chowda.”

Austin

For an authentic Austin experience, explore the Cathedral of Junk, which has 60 tons of reclaimed bicycle and auto parts, perfect for car or art-lovers.

San Francisco
If you want to celebrate Father’s Day minus the kids, San Francisco is ideal. Though San Francisco is a popular city for tourists over the summer months, we’re seeing some great price drops over the holiday weekend—down 14 percent from last year.

Denver

Miami
In Miami, with off-season prices in full effect (plus, prices down 13 percent), travelers can score some fantastic deals on a Father’s Day getaway. Spend the day on the beach with dad, and if you’re feeling adventurous, rent a couple jet skis for a day or snorkel the clear Atlantic waters that surround the city. For dads who crave the outdoors, but like to stay dry, Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park has an historic lighthouse and nature trails that make you forget you’re in a big city.

Washington, D.C.
Washington, D.C. has been a great deal destination this year and continues to be over Father’s Day, with drops of 11 percent compared to last year. If Dad is a whiskey lover – and the kids are away – take him to Black Whiskey and Barrel for a tasting that will make him feel like a king.

Las Vegas

We’re expecting hotel prices to be down in New York for the summer given a host of new hotel openings, and are currently seeing drops of six percent over Father’s Day weekend. Head to the top of the Empire State Building for a spectacular view or take a ferry to Ellis Island to dig deeper into family history.
